Tax Preparer

StaffHigher Recruiting Services is currently seeking an efficient Tax Preparer who is ready to work hard and have some fun along the way. This small to mid-sized accounting firm offers many perks like flexible scheduling, reduced off season hours (30 hours per week May-August), and a strong team culture – as well as a 50% concession on health insurance and EOY bonus eligible!

Starting pay: $60,000

Seeking a Tax Preparer that has experience in personal and business tax returns who can support various aspects of accounting for multiple clients.

Responsibilities:

• Personal and Business tax returns
• Financial Reporting
• Income Statements and Balance Sheets
• Monthly and Quarterly Payroll Tax reports
• Account Reconciliations
• Accounts Receivable
• Accounts Payable
• Sending correspondence to clients and taxing agencies
• Other data requests from clients

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a credible College/University( Preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in tax preparation
• QuickBooks Experience (Preferred)
• Detail Oriented with financial and numeric data
• Strong Computer skills-knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications with Excel a must
• Independent worker
• Self-starter
• Great Time Management Skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to prioritize work and manage multi-task projects
• Willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal pressures and longer work hours.
