StaffHigher Recruiting Services is searching for a strong leader to fill a Full Time Senior Staff Tax Manager position. This candidate must have a good understanding of accounting principles and be able to support various aspects of accounting for multiple staff members and clients. This employer offers excellent benefits, possesses a great family-oriented culture and top-tier pay!

Pay Range – $100,000-$125,000 depending on experience. Also eligible for performance-based end of year bonus!

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Personal and Business Tax Returns
  • Facilitate/lead meetings for the staff
  • Conduct employee one-on-ones meetings in which you will be responsible for setting individual and team goals and tracking progress toward success
  • Lead, train and develop staff members
  • Lead point of contact for questions from the direct reports as well as others in the office
  • Prepare/Review in-house financials as requested
  • High level financial reporting-prepare/review
  • Assist in the hiring process for any employee who would be reporting to you
  • Build on our team’s strengths as well as identify opportunities to increase performance
  • Research and pursue continuing education opportunities that would benefit staff and their areas of expertise
  • Conduct and communicate upstream any corrective action items with staff (if necessary)
  • Assist with annual employee reviews and recommend raises/bonuses
  • Sending correspondence to clients and taxing agencies
  • Review information for insurance audits before submission

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Tax return preparation experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Tax/Accounting field required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading a team
  • CPA/EA preferred, but not required
  • QuickBooks experience (QB Online and Desktop)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented with financial and numerical data
  • Strong computer skills– knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications a must
