StaffHigher Recruiting Services is searching for a strong leader to fill a Full Time Senior Staff Tax Manager position. This candidate must have a good understanding of accounting principles and be able to support various aspects of accounting for multiple staff members and clients. Pay Range – $100,000-$125,000 depending on experience. Also eligible for performance-based end of year bonus!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Personal and Business Tax Returns
- Facilitate/lead meetings for the staff
- Conduct employee one-on-ones meetings in which you will be responsible for setting individual and team goals and tracking progress toward success
- Lead, train and develop staff members
- Lead point of contact for questions from the direct reports as well as others in the office
- Prepare/Review in-house financials as requested
- High level financial reporting-prepare/review
- Assist in the hiring process for any employee who would be reporting to you
- Build on our team’s strengths as well as identify opportunities to increase performance
- Research and pursue continuing education opportunities that would benefit staff and their areas of expertise
- Conduct and communicate upstream any corrective action items with staff (if necessary)
- Assist with annual employee reviews and recommend raises/bonuses
- Sending correspondence to clients and taxing agencies
- Review information for insurance audits before submission
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Tax return preparation experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Tax/Accounting field required
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading a team
- CPA/EA preferred, but not required
- QuickBooks experience (QB Online and Desktop)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented with financial and numerical data
- Strong computer skills– knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications a must
