This Mentorship Training Program is a two-year commitment in which the Financial Advisor Trainee will work under a senior level Financial Advisor to learn all aspects of the business including administrative, planning, practice management, prospecting and sales skills that are key success factors in the Financial Services Industry. Reporting to the Senior Level Advisor, the Financial Advisor Trainee works with integrity and confidentiality and provides excellent customer service to team members while demonstrating the company values and supporting the mission. Qualified candidates will be humble, servant-minded individuals that thrive in a team environment.

KEY SKILLS Financial Advisor Trainee will learn and develop the following competencies:

  • Administrative skills – How to open accounts, facilitate paperwork, reporting, etc.
  • Practice management skills – Completing meeting prep & follow up, as well as service items
  • Business skills – Understand how production works, how to grow a practice
  • Sales skills – Intro, close, how to answer common objections and get referrals
  • Phone skills – Conducting cold/warm calls, reminder/event calls, and services calls
  • Prospecting/marketing skills – Tracking leads, pipelines, COIs, gifts, events, content
  • Financial planning skills – GPM, agendas, outlines, notes, tax strategies, etc.
  • Develop meeting skills through shadowing, observing, co-running, and solo meetings (Expectation that solo meetings often do not start until around the 6–12-month mark, and mentee should graduate with at least 60 solo meetings complete.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
  • Knowledge of investment concepts, practices, products, financial markets and the securities industry.
  • Experience in related technology, software planning tools and presentations.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • SIE required, Series 7 and 66 preferred or must complete within the first 3 months of employment
  • Preferred CFP® designation earned within 2 years of employment
