StaffHigher Recruiting Services is searching for a Full Time Accounting Staff Manager that has a good understanding of accounting principles who can support various aspects of accounting for multiple staff members and clients.

Pay Range – $75,000-$85,000 depending on experience. Also eligible for performance based end of year bonus!

Responsibilities:

Weekly Duties

  • Review employee project lists and help facilitate information gathering and client coordination, if necessary
  • Facilitate any meetings for the staff. We currently do weekly, but open to your suggestions.
  • Review any election forms or applications that are prepared
  • Review information for insurance audits before submission
  • Be available for questions from the staff during your posted office

Monthly Duties

  • Employee one-on-ones to set goals, check in on well-being, etc.
  • Review in-house financials as the monthly bookkeeping is completed

Quarterly Duties

  • Review large volume of quarterly payroll reports
  • Look for any continuing education opportunities that would benefit staff and their areas of expertise

On-going duties

  • Assist in the hiring process for any employee who would be reporting to you
  • Recommend people for promotion
  • Make partners aware of any disciplinary action that may be necessary
  • Continually instruct/correct/train staff as opportunities arise
  • Assist with annual employee reviews and recommend raises/bonuses

Miscellaneous Projects

  • Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations
  • Financial Reporting-Income Statements and Balance Sheets
  • Processing Payroll
  • Sales Tax Preparation
  • Sending correspondence to clients and taxing agencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Preferred from a credible College/University
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting/Staff Management required
  • QuickBooks Experience Preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail Oriented with financial and numeric data
  • Strong Computer skills-knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications with Excel a must
  • Independent worker

  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize work and manage multi-task projects
  • Willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal pressures and longer work hours.
